As one of the fastest growing bakery products and sandwich carriers on UK menus[1], bagels can provide a key opportunity for Casual Dining operators. That’s why New York Bakery Co. will be showing guests at this year’s Casual Dining Show how they can make the most of this bagel boom from its very own New York style bagel shop.

With North American food positioned as one of the fastest growing cuisines right now[2], maximising this trend can be lucrative for casual dining outlets. Bringing a real taste of the five boroughs to the Business Design Centre, the New York Bakery Co. team will be on hand to highlight how operators can take advantage of the trends in the category and boost sales across all day parts.

Introducing new carriers and ingredients can be an easy, yet cost effective way, to appeal to customers looking for American influences when dining out. Enabling visitors to try out some of their 12-strong range, the bagel experts will be providing freshly toasted samples at stand for operators to try for themselves.

Visitors will also be given an insight into how an authentic taste of New York is created, with screens on stand taking guests through the traditional boil and bake process used to make every New York Bakery Co. bagel and give it its distinctively soft yet chewy texture.

Finally, the team will be kicking off 2018 in style by unveiling its updated branding to the out of home sector for the first time. In keeping with the patriotic red, white and blue theme, the updated logo stays true to the brands’ heritage and grocery styling for brand recognition.

Philippa Knight, Marketing Manager Out of Home for New York Bakery Co. commented;

Quote Icon It’s clear that the bagel boom is here to stay and we want attendees of the show to make the most of this trend and therefore help influence their bottom lines. Our New York bagel shop style stand will give operators a chance to experience everything our brand stands for and understand the real benefits they can achieve from the demand for bagels over recent years.

From its classic Original Bagel to the latest Everything Bagel and Cinnamon and Raisin varieties, New York Bakery Co. has options for every type of casual dining operator; top with smoked salmon and avocado for brunch, fill with pastrami and mustard for lunch or simply butter for an afternoon snack.

For even more variety and authenticity, New York Bakery Co. has introduced the ‘Croll’ to its product offering, inspired by coffee shops in The Big Apple. The multi awarding winning hybrid pastry combines the best of a croissant and a roll to deliver a deliciously light texture that doesn’t flake or fall apart – making it a perfect addition to breakfast menus.
